IJGB!!!! (Series 1)

Hiyaaaaaa!!!! So, this just an update on me and what not. I've been away from my regular lungu (Swansea), because uni's on break... Was meant to go to China for the month of July but the travel gods weren't really in my favour so I ended up in Lagos (my HOME)... and am an IJGB!!!!...

 HEYYYOOOO!!!!!... We know that I love all things old and old-timey... My friend shared with me a photo from a shoot he and his friends had... I LOVED the theme ('twas old hollywood like... maybe a mob movie)!!!!. It's clear a lot of thought had gone into the shoot, the outfits... Don't even get me started on the bearded young men and their hats or that elegant young lady in the middle... <3<3... It was all very reminiscent of a time I had not known but love. I've put together a few of their photos (with permission of course ) and inserted myself here and there (because why not)... Xx

SOMETHING FIERY

Do you remember those romance novels everyone (apart from me surprisingly) read in high school?... Well in my head I could be a cover girl for one of them books in this outfit. "There was something sultry about the way her flowy skirt moved in wind..." would be a line from this book... lol... This bardot bodysuit and skirt accentuated my curves (without a lot of skin) and I let my hair out to move freely in the wind, giving off just the right amount of fiery and decency (For a more formal look I would ditch the nose ring and put my hair up in a bun or wear a hat... but that's not what I was going for)... Enjoyy!!!!

October 1

Hello!!!! You may or may not know that I am a HUGE Yoruba Nolly and Kunle Afolayan fan (maybe because I'm currently outside of my home and country), I feel they're very comic, educational (my own opinion and contrary to popular belief, also doesn't apply to all of the movies) and makes me feel closer to Yoruba as my language (yes, I use Yoruba nolly to practice my Yoruba)...

Majority of my posts seem dressy and extra, with calculated hairstyles and outfits... but sometimes one just wants to be extra casual but still looking "take-away" (lol... my slangs are very core Nigerian) and that's what this day was all about... Infact, I had no intention of taking these pictures let alone  posting them (I was out taking pictures for my friend and fellow blogger thephoenixdreamr) but like I said, "Odikwa" looking take-away (I hope I've used the word in the right context, it just sounds nice/right to me)...

WIG IT!!!!

 

Hey hey Hey!!!!... I'm sure if you've gone through my posts you know I'm a hairdresser... I make wigs, weaves, braids, twists, locks, twistouts and puffs... Long story short I woke up on this particular day and I just wanted to switch things up, so I unloaded a box of old unused chocolate weaves, my needle and thread, "Dolapo" my foam mannequin head, curling wand and my adorbs floral dress  and VOILA!!!... 

Unbreakable

Meeting me, the first impression you would get is that I'm and outdoorsy happy outgoing individual, true as that maybe, I reckon myself couch potato as i do outdoorsy. While enjoying a couch potato Wednesday (that's my freedom from school day as I have no lectures or seminars/tutorials on that day) and randomly surfing YouTube, I found my new favourite Netflix original series so far... *drumroll*... "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" 

Something Old, Nothing Borrowed...

These pictures were taking in the fall (maybe winter of 2014, so they're old), and the whole outfit, complete with the coat, cost less than £45 (true story)... As I was putting up my earlier post I saw these photos, thought them cute and decided to post them as well to re-iterate my MINIMALIST HYPE.

So!!!!... They say less is more, sometimes I buy into the idea and sometimes I'm like... "nah!, gotta give dem today". But this outfit to me brings out the beauty of/in simplicity, everything is over a year old and worn in the least attention grabbing manner possible but still won't go unnoticed...

She's my latest hype and as such I've recreated her style, with everyday high street shop pieces on myself, as I absolutely believe in affordability whilst still looking great... Enjoy!

Hey there everyone... I'd been thinking a little bit about myself, what I'm all about/ good at, after a couple of failed attempts at figuring me out. I finally think i'm on the right path and though I'm still learning, I'm very much of the opinion that i am HYPED!!! About myself and everything I love..
